Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

The Terms of Service govern your use of the Omaia app and website. Here's a plain-language summary of what they say. A full version of the Terms of Service is linked in the bottom of this page.

What Omaia is — and isn't

Omaia is a wellbeing support tool that helps you work with fear and anxiety related to pregnancy and childbirth. It is not a medical service. It does not provide diagnoses, clinical assessments, or treatment. If you have concerns about your physical or mental health, please contact your midwife, doctor, or another healthcare professional.

Maia, our AI guide

Maia is an AI system — not a human, therapist, or counsellor. It delivers structured, evidence-based exercises and operates within strict content boundaries. Your interactions with Maia are processed by our AI provider in line with our Privacy Policy. Your data is not used to train AI models.

Who can use Omaia

You must be 18 or older, located in the UK or Sweden, and have received a beta invitation (during the current phase). You're responsible for keeping your account secure.

Your content, our content

Everything in the App — exercises, written content, Maia's responses, design, and technology — is owned by or licensed to Omaia. You may use it for your own personal wellbeing. You may not copy, share, or redistribute it.

Liability

We limit our liability to the extent the law allows. During the free beta, our total liability is capped at £100. Nothing in the Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.

Your rights as a consumer

If you're in the UK, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected. If you're in Sweden or the EU, mandatory consumer protections under Swedish and EU law apply regardless of anything in the Terms.

Governing law

UK users: English and Welsh law applies. Sweden/EU users: English and Welsh law applies, but your local mandatory consumer protections are preserved.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time via App settings or by contacting us. Your data will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
