By accessing and/or using the app, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to the terms of this privacy policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease using the services and platform.
Privacy Policy Updates
Please note that we occasionally update this Privacy Policy. Every Privacy Policy has a date from which its provisions are in effect. A newer version automatically replaces the previous one. We will inform you electronically about any new version of the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the new terms, please discontinue using the App. Continuing to use the App after the effective date of the Privacy Policy signifies your agreement to use the App under the conditions specified in the latest version of the Privacy Policy.

At Omaia, we value your privacy and protect the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what information we collect, why we do it, and how we ensure it is handled securely.
Who we are
Omaia is operated by Omaia AB, registered in Sweden (org. nr 559525-1397). We are the data controller for your personal data.
What we collect and why
When you sign up for early access or create an account, we collect your email address and basic account information to manage your access to Omaia.
When you use the App, you may share health and wellbeing information — such as how you're feeling about pregnancy and birth, and your responses to guided exercises. This is sensitive personal data under GDPR. We only process it with your explicit consent, which we ask for separately during onboarding. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
We also collect standard usage data (how you use the App, device type, crash logs) to improve the product.
How Maia works
Maia is our AI wellbeing guide. The text you share with Maia is processed by our AI provider, Anthropic. Your data is not used to train AI models and is not retained by Anthropic beyond the session. Maia is not a therapist, doctor, or medical device — it delivers structured, evidence-based wellbeing content within strict boundaries.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We work with a small number of service providers to operate the App — including Google Cloud (infrastructure, EU), Anthropic (AI processing), and Auth0 (authentication). All are contractually bound to protect your data.
International transfers
Some providers are based in the United States. We protect these transfers using Standard Contractual Clauses (EU) and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep your data
Your account and wellbeing data is kept for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure. Usage data is kept for 12 months. Inactive accounts are flagged for deletion after 24 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at hello@omaia.ai and we'll respond within one month.
If you have concerns, you can contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se, or the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
